The Summers County Bobcats rode a wave of victory over the weekend.
The Lady Bobcats won both Vision Homes International games defeating Frankford and Hampshire, respectively. In the Frankford game, the score was 71-66. Sully Pivont scored 20 points and was named MVP. The team once again brought home the victory against Hampshire with a final score of 60-53. Gracie Harvey was named MVP, scoring 15 points. On Dec. 16 and 17, the Lady Bobcats will compete in the Rogers Oil Tournament.
In addition to the double wins for the Lady Bobcats, the boy’s basketball team won their first game of the season. Facing off against Midland Trail on their home court, the Bobcats ended the game with a 49-47 score. The team made an incredible comeback from an 11-point deficit at the half. Cruz Testerman scored 15 points, which included two vital free throws, and Brandan Issac added 10. The Bobcats will travel to Pikeview for their next game on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
