SEARS
Donald Jack Sears, 71, of Hix, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at CAMC General Division following a short illness.
Born February 10, 1951, in Wayne Co., MI, he was the son of the late Vernon Pasco and Georgia Sears.
Jack was a member of the Upland Baptist Church, a timberman, and a lifelong logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheelers, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Phillip and Vernon Lee Sears; two sisters, Alice Bolton and Genieve Neely.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 42 years, Barbara Ward Sears; one brother, Paul Sears and wife, Brenda; three sisters, France Richmond, Barbara Ward, and Christine Sears; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services and burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Donald Jack Sears Cemetery with Mike Brandon officiating. Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:45 a.m. Friday prior to the service. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
