Bobcats defeat Golden Knights

Summers County Football improved to 2-2 after tearing apart the Mt. View Golden Nights 52-20 last Friday at Garten Stadium in Hinton.

Junior Drake Cole rushed 17 times for 208 yards scoring four touchdowns. Senior Duke Dodson rushed 15 times for 142 yards scoring one touchdown. Senior Coen McClaugherty scored twice. Senior Cruz Testerman also contributed to the win with his kicking- scoring a 38-yard field goal.

The students and community have been coming out in support of their team. Under the direction of Tim Sims, the marching band has grown to 35 members. The band not only sounds great but is also looking great with their brand new uniforms that came just in time for the Mt. View game.

The Bobcats will travel to Midland Trail on Friday, September 23. The following week will be a bye week, and the team will pick back up on October 7 with the homecoming game against Sherman High.
