“Faith played a major role in the Matadors’ back-to-back NJCAA Region I Championship game appearances with the 2022 game resulting in a National Tournament berth. The team finished the 2021-22 season 30-3 overall, an ACCAC and NJCAA Region I championship along with a top 8 result in the National Tournament. Faith scored double digits in both tournament games. Faith started for the Matadors over her three years at AWC and the fans, school, and community will miss her three-point heat checks, consistent effort and personality.” – Patrick Cunningham, Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Arizona Western College

“Having competed against Faith, I have a really good understanding of how talented she is. Not only is she a lights-out shooter, but she forces defenses to adjust their normal schemes to accommodate for her offensive prowess. I am confident that she will have a great impact at WVU Tech just as she did in our league in Arizona. Having played for Coach Hodge, she is also a player that fits his style. I look forward to keeping up with her success as a Golden Bear!” – Tasha Washington-Bonham, Head Women’s Basketball Coach, Scottsdale Community College

“Faith Silva is a dynamic shooter and scorer that will make a significant impact on our team right away. She has deep range and is what I call a momentum shooter-she hits shots that raise the emotional level of your team. Faith is used to winning as well as evidenced by the tremendous success her teams experienced at Arizona Western, which is consistently among the top programs in the country at the junior college level. Patrick Cunningham is one of the best coaches in the business, so I know she will come to us extremely well-prepared to play at a high level. Faith is a fun kid to watch play and I know Golden Bear Nation is going to enjoy seeing her in the gold and blue. She is a huge addition to an already stellar recruiting class and we are thrilled to have her in our program.” – Coach Hodge
