Obituary: Daniel Lee Adkins, 49

ADKINS

Daniel Lee Adkins, 49, of Hinton, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2022 at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial following a sudden illness.

Born October 1, 1972 at Hinton, he was a son of Wilbert “Buck” Adkins and wife, Vada of Madams Creek and Judy Carol Adkins of Hinton.

Daniel was a member of the Construction Worker’s Labor Union Local in Beckley. He enjoyed old cars, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.

Daniel was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Homer and Roda Adkins; and maternal grandparents, Cecil and Gerthie Gill.

Besides his parents, those left to cherish his memory include three sons, Daniel Seth Adkins of Hinton, Michael Shane Adkins and wife, Kristen of Nimitz, and Hunter Samuel Adkins of Nimitz; one brother, Bucky Adkins and wife, Brittany of Hinton; one step-brother, John Price of Fort Springs; one step-sister, Joanna Price Elmore and husband, Jared of Ronceverte; special cousin, Marie Meadows; partner, Angie Crouse; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Graveside services and burial were held 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 4, 2022 at the Adkins Cemetery on Madams Creek with Pastor Robbie Merritt officiating.

His sons and family served as pallbearers.

Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
