Less than a year ago, on April 21, 2020, the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activity Commission (WVSSAC), in conjunction with Gov. Jim Justice’s office, announced that the rest of the 2019-2020 sports seasons (including baseball) were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Now the Summers County High School baseball team has returned to practice for the new season ahead. The team is scheduled to open their season on their home field at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 13, against James Monroe High School. Come out and support the Bobcats.
