WARD
Glen Melford Ward, 76, of Ramp went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 29, 2021, following a short illness.
Born October 23, 1945 at Ramp, he was a son of the late Dennis Ballard and Doris Ward.
Glen was a dedicated and faithful member of Ramp Holiness Church, where he enjoyed serving the Lord. He was a retired truck driver and member of the Teamsters Union. Glen enjoyed singing, attending the Ward Reunion as well as the Locust Dale School Reunion, helping others, and making precious memories with his family. Glen had joy in his heart and spread love through his smile. He was the rock of his community.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 58 years, Mary Elizabeth Ward; three children, Glen David Ward, Daniel Ward and wife, Missy all of Ramp and Lisa Ann Bowles of Talcott; seven grandchildren, Brian, Bradley, Rachel, Whitney, Dennis, Thomas, and Katie; and twenty two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Ramp Holiness Church with Pastor Felix Baker officiating. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday at the church. Burial will follow in the Ward Family Cemetery at Ramp. Grandsons and family will serve as pallbearers.
