The Greenbrier East Spartans football team got their 2021 season off to a strong start on Friday, August 14 at home at Spartan Stadium, in scrimmage-play against the Covington Cougars.
Although not an official game, and score was not kept, the Spartans hit the ground running with a touchdown on their first play.
The Spartans will next host Midland Trail for more scrimmage-play at Spartan Stadium on Friday, August 20 at 6:00 p.m. Regular season-play begins on Friday, August 27 with an away game at Point Pleasant.
For their home-opener, the Spartans will host Robert C. Byrd at Spartan Stadium on Friday, September 10. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.
