Baseball season is officially here for the Summers County Bobcats.
The Bobcat baseball team traveled to PikeView on Saturday, April 10, for a scrimmage. Since it was a scrimmage, the score was not kept.
In the second inning, Levi Jones (senior) got a hit that was only a few feet from going over the fence. The hit by Jones was a double and brought home Brandan Isaac (freshman) scoring a run. Later, Xander Hudgins also got on base by a hit.
The Bobcats started the scrimmage with Gracin Price (senior) pitching. Later, Logan Fox (senior), Will Taylor (senior), Peyton Miller (sophomore), and Brandan Isaac (freshman) also pitched for the Bobcats.
In the last inning, the catcher, Jones, threw a PikeView player out at first with the help of junior TJ Gill, getting one of the three outs needed to end the scrimmage. The second out of the last inning was a foul ball caught by Jones. The third out of the last inning was pitched by Isaac. Stay tuned for more updates on Bobcat Baseball in the Hinton News.
