Summers County Health Department Director Chad Meador and staff are pleased vaccinations are going as quickly and smoothly as they have been the past few weeks at clinics at the Hinton Freight Depot.
This past week produced another 350 secondary vaccinations on Wednesday, and for the first time on Thursday walk-ins were invited to come in for primary doses and 150 residents received the vaccine.
The Health Department boost doses will be given at the Freight Depot today, Wednesday, April 7, and tomorrow (Thursday, April 8) and Friday, April 9, at the health department on Pleasant Street in Avis.
Meador said, “by appointment is preferred, but the staff can take walk-ins, as well.”
Meador is eager to get everyone vaccinated as quickly as possible, even inviting people to call his personal cell number to arrange appointments.
