Summers County Sheriff Justin Faris, Chief Deputy T.S. Adkins and Deputy T.J. Cochran are sporting new protective gear — rifle body armor — purchased with donations from Hinton and Summers County businesses and individual donors.
Faris and the department’s deputies issued their gratitude to the following contributors: Mark Fox and Ronald Meadows Funeral Home, Daniel Harmon of Harmon Construction, The Summers County Republican Committee, Mike Gore and Gores Auto Body, Marshal and Paula Hephner, Angels Feed, Kirks Restaurant, Gabe Massie of Massie Insurance, Andrew Monti, Tom Conway of Safe and Sound Security, Jeff and Patty Lyons and Jeff Conner.
These generous contributions have been invested in keeping sheriff’s department law enforcement deputies safe on the job, Faris said.
Sheriff Faris said his team is grateful for the generosity of members of the community and if anyone wishes to donate to the department, the contributions will be invested in the purchase of first-aid kits and additional attachments for the rifle-proof vests.
