David Coleman “Booty” Frazier

FRAZIER

David Coleman “Booty” Frazier, 79, of Hilldale, passed Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his home following a short illness.

Born July 8, 1941 in Hinton, he was the son of the late Ernest R. and Virginia Mary Mann Frazier.

David was retired after 32 years of service with the State of WV Department of Highways. He enjoyed gardening, his dogs, and was an enthusiastic sports fan. He was a mainstay at local sporting events, whether Talcott or Summers County boys and girls sports. David was a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church at Hilldale and was a lifelong resident of Summers County.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Sizemore Frazier, and one brother, Melvin Frazier.

Survivors include one son, Eric and wife, Kelly Frazier of Goose Creek, SC; one daughter, Rebecca Wells and husband, Michael of Hilldale; one brother, Danny Frazier of Hinton; one sister, Janice Blankenship and husband, Woody of Rainelle; four grandchildren, Haley, Eli, Tucker, and Ellie Kate Frazier; brothers-in-law, Clark Sizemore of Hilldale, Lawrence Sizemore of Herndon, WV, and Kenny Sizemore of Florida.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Pivont Funeral Home Chapel in Hinton with Pastor Ed Dolphin officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Pisgah Methodist Church Cemetery at Hilldale. The family received friends from 12 p.m. until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers were Eric Frazier, Michael Wells, Dwayne Myers, Josh Shrewsbury, and Lee Pivont.

COVID-19 guidelines were adhered to; masks and social distancing required.
