The colorful seasonal lighting installed along the Temple Street bridges that have been casting sparkling reflections on the New River every night for nearly two months will now return to storage until the 2021 holidays. Installation and removal of the annual Christmas lights and snowflakes are a major production.
The main entrance into historic Hinton on Route 20 had firemen from the Hinton Fire Department, Gary Farmer, Jason Grose, DJ Staley, Joe Adkins and Bill Costomiris on the scene working with city crew-members late last week to mark an end to all the festivals of lights.
For the past several weeks Hinton has provided a Hometown Christmas the likes of which has not been seen in quite a long time.
