After an incredibly difficult year, local emergency service departments banded together to put on a brilliant display in a parade of lights. A line of fire trucks, police cruisers and other response vehicles from all over the county showed their Christmas spirit on Saturday, December 12.
Each vehicle had its emergency lights blazing and many of the trucks were adorned with festive holiday lights as well. The display of lights was a beacon in the dark, a spark of hope that many people so desperately need after such a dark year.
As the trucks drove through town, resounding cheers could be heard from the crowds of people lined up to watch. Children became especially excited when Santa came into view. This parade seems to be the boost that the community needed.
Appreciation for the efforts of local emergency services rang out on social media after the parade. The recurring sentiment was a declaration of gratitude with the most common phrase being “Thank you.”
