HINTON, W.Va. (Hinton News) — The Summers County Humane Society/ACWP is seeking a permanent home for Abby, a 1.5-year-old dog described by shelter staff as a “gentle soul” with a heart of gold.

Abby weighs 50 pounds, a size the rescue organization characterizes as ideal for both outdoor adventures and indoor relaxation. According to a recent announcement from the shelter, she has demonstrated a temperament that makes her a versatile candidate for various household types.

Shelter highlights for Abby include:

Compatibility: She is reported to be great with cats and good with children.

Social Skills: She is dog-friendly, provided her canine companions are respectful toward her.

Disposition: Staff describe her as sweet, gentle, and loyal.

The Summers County Humane Society emphasized that Abby is looking for a “forever family” to provide the stability and kindness she deserves.

Potential adopters interested in meeting Abby or learning more about the adoption process can fill out an application through the organization’s official website at acwp-wv.org.
