HINTON, W.Va. (Hinton News) — The Summers County Commission has released a notice regarding the upcoming holiday schedule for the local courthouse. To allow county employees time to celebrate with their families, the Summers County Courthouse will observe an extended closure during the Christmas week.
According to the official announcement, the courthouse will be closed all day on the following dates:

Wednesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve)

Thursday, December 25 (Christmas Day)

Friday, December 26
Residents are encouraged to plan ahead for any time-sensitive legal or administrative business, such as filing documents, renewing permits, or visiting the County Clerk’s office. All offices located within the courthouse will be unavailable for in-person services during this three-day period.
Normal business hours are expected to resume on the following Monday. For more information or to check for updates on emergency services, residents can visit the official Summers County website or contact the Commission office prior to the start of the holiday break.
