HINTON, W.Va. (Hinton News) — The Summers County Humane Society is seeking a permanent home for Brody, a 9-month-old Mountain Cur and hound mix recently found wandering alone on a rural road.
Brody, who weighs approximately 50 pounds, was discovered by passersby after what appeared to be an extended period of roaming. Despite efforts by the organization to locate his original owners, no one has come forward to claim him.
Humane Society staff describe Brody as a well-behaved companion who is house-trained and capable of walking well on a leash. He has mastered the “sit” command and generally interacts well with other dogs. However, potential adopters are advised that Brody has a tendency to chase cats and should be placed in a home without felines.
The organization characterizes the young dog as “eager for love and adventure” as he awaits a fresh start with a forever family. Those interested in adopting Brody or learning more about the application process are encouraged to visit the Summers County Humane Society’s website.
