Charleston, West Virginia – McDonald’s Owner/Operators in the Southern West Virginia region raised funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Southern West Virginia on August 8. During the RMHC® Digital Day, local RMHC Chapters earned 20 percent of all sales purchased through the McDonald’s app.

Digital Day efforts raised a total of $15,939.76 for the RMHC of Southern West Virginia. Each restaurant in the region donated a minimum of $250 to the local RMHC chapter. Charleston area McDonald’s Owner/Operator Chris Connolly presented a check to RMHC of Southern West Virginia Executive Director Brooke Field.

“We are grateful for our McDonald’s Owner/Operator partners who continued their generosity by holding a day to share a portion of their sales to support families needing support while their children are receiving care at our area hospitals,” said Field

The mission of RMHC is to provide essential services that remove barriers, strengthen families, and promote healing when children need healthcare. Each RMHC Chapter strives to keep families together and near the care their children need, recognizing the emotional and financial strain that serious illness can place on families.

“It’s an honor to provide support to our local Ronald McDonald House Charities Chapters,” said Connolly. “The success of this RMHC Digital Day will allow families to feel supported without worrying about costs associated with finding a place to stay.”
