HINTON, W.Va. (Hinton News) -The City of Hinton is proud to announce the hiring of Megan Turner as the new City Manager. Turner, who has served as the City’s Executive Assistant for just under a year, officially stepped into her new role this month.

In her time as Executive Assistant, Megan quickly became a trusted leader within city operations, demonstrating strong organizational skills, dedication to public service, and a deep commitment to the community. Her experience working closely with city staff and officials has provided her with the knowledge and vision needed to guide Hinton into its next chapter of growth and development.

“I am honored to serve as Hinton’s City Manager,” Turner said. “This community has so much potential, and I am excited to continue working with our citizens, businesses, and partners to build on the progress we’ve made. Together, we can create a bright future for Hinton.”

As City Manager, Turner will oversee daily operations, support ongoing projects, and work to strengthen communication, community engagement, and development initiatives. City officials believe her leadership and energy will help advance Hinton’s goals while maintaining the small-town values that make it unique.

Mayor Jack Scott praised Turner’s appointment, stating, “Megan has proven herself as an invaluable member of our team. Her professionalism, passion, and vision for Hinton make her the right choice to lead our city forward.”

The City of Hinton welcomes Megan Turner into her new role and looks forward to her continued contributions in serving the citizens of Hinton.
