LEWISBURG, W.Va. (Hinton News) — The State Fair of West Virginia saw two arrests of wanted men during the 10-day event.

According to a report from WVVA, on Tuesday, August 13, Zachariah Hughart, 20, was arrested and charged with using minors to film sexually explicit content. Hughart had been the subject of a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) alert issued by the Lewisburg Police Department. A fair attendee reportedly recognized Hughart and alerted authorities. The West Virginia State Police located and arrested him without incident.

Earlier, on August 10, Billy Joe Lester, 35, was arrested at the fairgrounds. Lester was wanted in connection with charges in Wyoming County, Raleigh County, and Guilford, North Carolina. Off-duty officers from Wyoming County allegedly spotted Lester and informed troopers who were working at the fair. He was also taken into custody without resistance.

Both men are currently incarcerated at Southern Regional Jail. Hughart has a $75,000 bond and Lester presently has no bond out of Greenbrier or Wyoming counties and a $5,000 out of Raleigh County.
